Chris Paul scores 23 with 10 rebounds, 9 assists in Rockets' loss
Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul scored 23 points (9-of-15 field goals, 2-of-2 free throws) with 10 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 3 3-pointers, and 1 turnover in 34.5 minutes of a 111-106 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
Paul fell an assist shy of what would have been his second triple-double of the season. He did notch his second 20-point game this month while helping fill the void for James Harden, who was hampered by foul trouble throughout the evening. His shot was finally falling after Paul failed to shoot better than 41.7 percent in any of the previous four games. The 14-year veteran has a career-worst 42.5 field goal percentage this season. Houston plays in Golden State against the Warriors on Saturday.
Paul scored 53.5 FanDuel points in the loss, his second-highest total of the season. He's averaging 37.4 FanDuel points through 35 games overall.
