D'Angelo Russell matches career-high 40 points, Nets win in Charlotte
Brooklyn Nets point guard D'Angelo Russell scored 40 points (14-of-31 field goals, 6-of-6 free throws) with 1 rebound, 7 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, 6 3-pointers, and 4 turnovers in 35.4 minutes of a 117-115 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday.
Russell dropped 12 points in under two minutes over the final 2:26 to secure a road victory for the Nets and reach his career-high in scoring for the third time. It was an encouraging bounce-back performance after he was held to 14 points on 4-of-16 shooting in the first game out of the All-Star break. The Nets host the San Antonio Spurs on Monday.
D-Load scored 56.7 FanDuel points in the win, his second-highest total of the season. He's averaging 36.2 FanDuel points through 60 games overall.
