Suns' Kelly Oubre to reportedly undergo season-ending thumb surgery

Phoenix Suns small forward Kelly Oubre will undergo a minor procedure on his left thumb and miss the remainder of the season.

What It Means:

Mikal Bridges and Josh Jackson should see more work over the final 10 games of the season with Oubre unavailable. The 23-year-old wing was putting up career-best numbers in March, with 21.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 2.1 steals, and 1.7 treys per contest on 48.6 percent shooting over nine games. Oubre is set to become a restricted free agent this summer.

Oubre averaged 27.4 FanDuel points over 69 games (19 starts) for the Suns and Washington Wizards this season. His scoring average rose from 12.9 points with Washington (29 games) to 16.9 points for Phoenix (40 games).
