J.J. Redick (back) will not play for 76ers against Bulls

Philadelphia 76ers shooting guard J.J. Redick (back tightness, left quad contusion) has been ruled out for Wednesday's season finale versus the Chicago Bulls.

What It Means:

Redick also sat out the front end of this back-to-back set, which led to a start for Zhaire Smith. The 76ers are locked into the third seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs, so they're resting their entire starting five for the last game of the regular season. Jonathan Simmons should be a primary beneficiary from the available usage.

Redick averaged 18.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 3.2 triples in 76 games this season. The points and treys are career-highs.
