Warriors' Kevin Durant has surgery on ruptured Achilles
Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant underwent surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon on Wednesday.
Achilles rehab typically takes around 12 months, so Durant may be sidelined for the entire 2019-20 season. He has a player option for $31.5 million, but even with the injury, the two-time Finals MVP will still likely receive long-term max offers from other teams. Durant turns 31 in September.
Durant averaged 26.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 0.7 steals, 1.1 blocks, and 1.8 3-pointers in 78 games during the regular season.
