Ja Morant headed to Memphis with No. 2 pick
The Memphis Grizzlies have selected Murray State point guard Ja Morant with the No. 2 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Grizzlies star Mike Conley was traded to the Utah Jazz early on Thursday, paving the way for Morant to be the point guard of the future. He shined as a sophomore at Murray State, and now he'll get the chance to carry that success to the NBA.
Last season with the Racers, Morant averaged 24.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 10.0 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
