Celtics looking to improve frontcourt in offseason
The Boston Celtics are "focused on landing an All-Star caliber talent in the frontcourt," according to A. Sherrod Blakely of CSNNE.
According to the report, the Celtics may try to go after the Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin, the Utah Jazz's Gordon Hayward or another target. The Celtics have some cap space along with a litany of draft picks, including the top pick in June. After getting thumped in the playoffs, Boston could make a move.
Hayward finished the season averaging a career-high 21.9 points to go with 5.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game. He ranked second among Jazz players and 15th in the NBA with a 12.0 nERD.
