Celtics draft Jayson Tatum with the third overall pick in the draft
The Boston Celtics have selected Duke Blue Devils forward Jayson Tatum with the third overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
Rumors are swirling that Boston may be sending Tatum to the Indiana Pacers in a deal for Paul George but for the time being Tatum is the newest member of the Celtics. He will likely come off the bench but will be in the mix for 20-plus minutes per game as the Celtics are thin at power forward.
Tatum was a great defender in college, posting a 4.1 defensive box plus/minus in his one year at Duke.
