76ers' Joel Embiid hopes to play more than 20 minutes a game
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid said that he feels great and hopes to play more than 20 minutes a night to start off the season.
On Monday, 76ers head coach Brett Brown said that Embiid would play minutes "in the teens" to start. But Embiid was clearly unhappy with that expectation and hopes to convince Brown to play him more early on. He said, "My body feels great and my knee is fine, I should play 30 minutes or more." We'll have to see if player or coach wins out here. But, in the instance that Embiid is very limited, Richaun Holmes would get more run at center for Philadelphia.
In his season debut, we project Embiid for 30.4 FanDuel points in 24.4 minutes of action. He costs $7,500 on the first full slate of the year.
