Brook Lopez unable to get anything going as Lakers fall to Pelicans
Los Angeles Lakers center Brook Lopez scored 7 points on 2-of-8 field goal attempts and 1-of-3 3-pointers with 6 rebounds, 1 steal, 2 blocks, and 2 turnovers in 18 minutes in Sunday's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.
Lopez was unable to get anything going against the Pelicans bigs and wound up sitting for the majority of the second half as the Lakers came just short of completing a fourth-quarter comeback. It was a disappointing outing for the big man after he averaged 30.5 minutes and 19.5 points on 13-of-30 (43.3 percent) shooting in the first two games. Things should be easier versus the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.
Lopez finished with 21.1 FanDuel points in the contest, and he's now averaging 30.5 FanDuel points per game to start the year. numberFire's models project him for 17.6 points, 1.1 3-pointers, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.5 blocks in 30.2 minutes per game over the rest of the season.
