Cavaliers' Tristan Thompson (calf) expected to miss one month
Cleveland Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson is expected to miss one month after suffering a left calf injury in Wednesday's loss to the Indiana Pacers, reports The Vertical's Shams Charania.
Original diagnosed with a calf strain, Thompson's MRI on Thursday didn't appear to go well. He will be out until December, forcing Kevin Love back to center and allow Jae Crowder and Jeff Green to get more minutes in the frontcourt. The Cavaliers might also roll out some lineups with Channing Frye or Ante Zizic at center.
Averaging 4.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game, Thompson is projected for averages of 8.1 points, 8.6 rebounds and 28.9 minutes over the rest of the 2017 season.
