Pistons' Jon Leuer (ankle) going to Indianapolis for second opinion
According to The Athletic's James Edwards III, Detroit Pistons forward/center Jon Leuer will head to Indianapolis to get a second opinion on his sprained left ankle.
Out since October 31st, Leuer's timetable for a potential return is unclear. If anything, the fact that he needs a second opinion suggests that he's not close to getting back. Until he does, Anthony Tolliver and Eric Moreland will continue to serve as backups in the Pistons' frontcourt.
For the rest of the season, our models project Leuer for averages of 6.5 points and 4.9 rebounds over 24.2 minutes per game.
