Hassan Whiteside (knee) ruled out for Heat on Wednesday
Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game versus the Portland Trail Blazers.
Whiteside has been out nearly two weeks as he nears the end of his initial rehabilitation schedule of one-to-two weeks for a bone bruise in his left knee. He still has a chance to return to action Friday or Saturday. Kelly Olynyk will likely continue to start in his place with Bam Adebayo backing him up on Wednesday.
Whiteside has played in just 15 games this season, averaging 14.9 points, 12.7 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 37.2 FanDuel points per game.
