Orlando's Nikola Vucevic (hand) 'close' to being cleared for full contact
Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic is "close" to being cleared for full contact work, according to head coach Frank Vogel.
The Orlando Sentinel's Josh Robbins reports that Vucevic is still going through non-contact drills as he works his way back. The 27-year-old big man suffered a fracture to his left hand back on December 26th. He's on track to return within his 6-to-8 week timetable some time around the All-Star break. At that time, expect Bismack Biyombo to return to a backup role.
Through 34 starts, Vucevic is averaging 17.4 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game.
