Kemba Walker pours in 40 points as Hornets fall to Trail Blazers

Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker scored 40 points (13-of-26 field goals, 8-of-8 free throws) with 1 rebound, 3 assists, 4 steals, 6 3-pointers, and 3 turnovers in 39.4 minutes of Thursday's 109-103 overtime loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

What It Means:

This was Walker's fourth 40-point performance of the season and he was also excellent on defense, limiting Damian Lillard to 6-of-22 shooting from the floor. The 27-year-old guard showed why he's more than worthy of being Kristaps Porzingis' replacement for the All-Star game.

Kemba scored 54.7 FanDuel points on Thursday, compared to his average of 38.0 FanDuel points per game for the season.
