Timberwolves don't plan to sign Derrick Rose
Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor said the team isn't planning to sign free agent point guard Derrick Rose.
Taylor said, "We kept one slot open all year long just in case that possibility occurred. But as of today we don't have anybody in mind." Earlier reports suggested that the team would take a long look at Rose after he was waived by the Utah Jazz last week. The 29-year-old started his career off with coach Tom Thibodeau, but it seems like Minnesota's satisfied with Tyus Jones as their backup.
In 16 games (7 starts) with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Rose averaged 9.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.
