Hawks will shut Kent Bazemore (knee) down for remainder of season

Atlanta Hawks guard/forward Kent Bazemore (right knee bone bruise) will miss the remainder of the season.

What It Means:

Bazemore limped off to the locker room during Sunday's loss to the Chicago Bulls and was unable to return. He was initially ruled out for "several weeks" but the Hawks figured there's no incentive to rush him back at the end of the year with the playoffs no longer on the radar. Tyler Dorsey will likely replace Bazemore in the starting lineup and Taurean Prince may be asked to do more on offense moving forward.

Bazemore averaged 27.0 FanDuel points per game this season, with 12.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.5 steals, 0.7 blocks, and 1.7 3-pointers per contest.
