Spurs rule out Kawhi Leonard (quad) for Thursday night
ESPN's Ramona Shelburne reports that San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard will not play Thursday versus the New Orleans Pelicans.
Earlier reports suggested that Leonard was targeting a return Thursday, but it looks like that's not happening. He met with Coach Gregg Popovich to discuss the situation today, and he'll continue to be monitored by the medical staff. The Spurs' next game comes Saturday night. If and when Leonard returns, expect Kyle Anderson and Bryn Forbes to see fewer minutes in the rotation.
Leonard is averaging 32.5 FanDuel points on the year. Assuming a return next week, we have him projected for 33.1 FD points in a matchup with the Golden State Warriors on Monday.
