Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki undergoes surgery on his left ankle, ending his season
Dallas Mavericks forward/center Dirk Nowitzki had surgery on his left ankle, effectively ending his season.
The surgery is considered "relatively minor," so it's not expected to affect Nowitzki's decision to return next season. With the Mavs looking so short-handed these days, Jonathan Motley will likely see solid minutes. Motley logged 41 minutes on Wednesday.
Nowitzki averaged 23.9 FanDuel points per game this season.
