Mavericks' Wesley Matthews (leg) undecided on player option
Per Eddie Sefko of the Dallas Morning News, Dallas Mavericks guard/forward Wesley Matthews said he has not yet decided on whether he will pick up his player option for the 2018-19 season.
Matthews' player option is worth $18.6 million, and he would be unlikely to walk away for all those reasons. If anything, he'll decide to go elsewhere to pursue more wins and a championship. He is coming off a fracture of his right leg and is entering his 10th season at age 32.
Over 63 games, Matthews averaged 12.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists during the 2017-18 season.
