Knicks' Kyle O'Quinn undecided on 2018 player option
New York Knicks power forward/center Kyle O'Quinn hasn't decided if he will pick up his player option for the 2018-19 season.
O'Quinn's player option is for $4.5 million, but a strong finish could allow him to get more in the open market this summer. He said, "Whether it be trade talks or things like that, I think I handled it well by putting myself in a solid position where I could display what I could do." There's also a chance that his inconsistency puts him in a tough spot, depending on the other options out there. Enes Kanter also carries a player option, with Joakim Noah as the only center under contract this coming season.
O'Quinn's 3.7 nERD ranked second on the team behind Kanter. He finished with averages of 7.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 blocks.
