Mavericks' Wesley Matthews exercises player option for 2018-19
Dallas Mavericks guard Wesley Matthews has exercised his $18.6 million player option for 2018-19.
What It Means:
This is no surprise with Matthews being almost 32 years old and coming off a stress fracture in his tibia. There is little chance Matthews would have gotten a big deal in free agency after a couple of years of down play, so he'll at least start the 2018-19 season with Dallas
Matthews averaged 23.3 FanDuel points per game this past season.
