Morey: Chris Paul will be back with Rockets next season
Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey said point guard Chris Paul will be back with the team next season.
Paul will be an unrestricted free agent this summer. However, based on how things ended and his attitude toward wanting to be out there for Games 6 and 7 against the Warriors, Morey thinks he'll definitely be back. Other reports suggest that Paul is already recruiting LeBron James to Houston. If James joins him, Paul could decide to take a discount to allow the team to re-sign big man Clint Capela.
This season, Paul averaged 18.6 points, 7.9 assists and 5.4 rebounds in 31.8 minutes per game. He also put up 21.1 points, 5.8 assists and 5.9 rebounds a game in 15 postseason starts.
