Trae Young drafted fifth by Mavericks then traded to the Hawks
Oklahoma Sooners guard Trae Young was selected fifth by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2018 NBA Draft. He was then traded to the Atlanta Hawks.
What It Means:
Dallas will get Luka Doncic in the deal. The Hawks will receive a future first round pick from the Mavericks.
Young averaged an insane 27.4 points per game as a freshman and still found enough possessions to dish out 8.7 assists.
