Mavs extend offer sheet to Doug McDermott, making him a restricted free agent
The Dallas Mavericks have extended an offer sheet to forward Doug McDermott.
What It Means:
When McDermott signs the offer sheet, he will become a restricted free agent allowing the Mavs to match any offer he signs. With Luka Doncic in the fold, McDermott will likely serve as a three-point specialist off the bench for Dallas.
McDermott averaged 7.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.1 three-pointers in 21.8 minutes per game in 2017-18.
