Garrett Temple traded from Sacramento to Memphis

The Sacramento Kings are trading guard Garrett Temple to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for guard Ben McLemore, forward/center Deyonta Davis and cash, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

What It Means:

The 32-year-old Temple stands to see a sizable role in the Grizzlies' rotation on the wing, replacing McLemore, whose 19.5 minuets per game were inflating by the Grizzlies' injury woes last year.

Temple averaged a career-best 8.4 points, along with 2.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 0.9 steals in 24.8 minutes per game last season. His .512 effective field goal percentage was the second-highest of his career, and the Kings' defensive rating was 1.1 points better when he was on the floor than when he was off.
