Marcus Smart reportedly signs with Celtics for 4 years, $52 million
The Boston Celtics and point guard Marcus Smart have agreed to a 4-year, $52 million deal, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.
Things took a little longer than many expected but there really wasn't ever much doubt that Smart would stick with the squad that drafted him four summers ago. Assuming Kyrie Irving is healthy next season, Smart's playing time figures to go down after he logged 29.9 minutes per game last year.
Smart averaged 24.4 FanDuel points with 10.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.3 steals in 54 games for the Celtics last season.
