B.J. Taylor will miss at least five more games for Central Florida

Central Florida Knights junior guard B.J. Taylor (thumb) will miss the remainder of the team's non-conference schedule, according to Shannon Green of the Orlando Sentinel.

What It Means:

Taylor was injured on December 3 and will be out until the Knights tip-off American Athletic Conference play on December 28 versus the Tulane Green Wave. In his absence, Djordjije Mumin and Nathan Laing will likely see extra minutes. Taylor was averaging 16.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.4 steals in Central Florida's first seven games.

The Knights' toughest game without their leading scorer will be on Monday versus the Penn Quakers; our 79th ranked team. Central Florida is currently our 20th best team in the nation with a 54.3 percent chance of making the NCAA Tournament but could fall if Taylor was out longer than expected.
