Shelton Mitchell drops 22 points in Clemson's win over NC State
Clemson Tigers sophomore guard Shelton Mitchell scored 22 points with three rebounds, six assists, and one steal in Tuesday's win in the opening round of the ACC Tournament.
What It Means:
Mitchell fell one point shy of tying his season-high as he went 8-for-13 from the floor including 3-for-5 from three. It was only his second 20-plus point game of the year. Coincidently, he set his season-high of 23 points versus the Duke Blue Devils, the Tigers' next opponent in the tournament.
Mitchell is the Tigers' third-leading scorer with 10.5 points with 3.5 assists per game on 46.2% shooting.
