Texas' Jarrett Allen testing the NBA Draft waters

Texas Longhorns freshman forward Jarrett Allen has made himself eligible for the 2017 NBA Draft but will not hire an agent, per Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports.

What It Means:

Allen will now go through the combine and the pre-draft process to discover where he thinks his likely draft stock is. By not hiring an agent, he leaves himself a window to withdraw from the draft and return to Austin for his sophomore season. Allen is seen as a top-20 prospect by both Draft Express and Chad Ford, and considered a potential lottery pick in the upcoming draft.

Allen averaged 13.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game while shooting 56.6 percent from the field this season.
