Gonzaga Bulldogs junior guard Nigel Williams-Goss is dealing with a sore ankle but is probable to play in Monday night's National Championship game versus the North Carolina Tar Heels, per Zach Braziller of the New York Post.
What It Means:
Williams-Goss turned the ankle in the second half of Saturday's win over the South Carolina Gamecocks but will no doubt play on Monday. However, the sore ankle may limit the junior's effectiveness. How the ankle holds up overnight is something to watch leading into the biggest game in the history of Gonzaga.
Williams-Goss is the Bulldogs most reliable offensive weapon, averaging 16.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.1 three-pointers per game this season.
