Fantasy Football: Redrafting the First Round After 4 Weeks

It's not really a surprise to admit that, as a fantasy football community, we get a lot of things wrong.

It’s the nature of the game we play, which is based on human performance in an arena where the variables are always changing. Individual performance is highly dependent on 10 other individuals and injuries are a constant risk.

Even in the first round of a fantasy draft, where mistakes should be at a minimum due to an offseason of analysis and discussion, we've already seen players like David Johnson, Jay Ajayi, DeMarco Murray and Julio Jones fail to return value on the investment many made. Some of that is due to injury, which is difficult to predict, but some of it is simply a player underperforming given our high expectations.

So if provided the opportunity to have a do-over, who are the NFL's most valuable fantasy players that we'd be targeting in the first 12 picks of a fantasy football draft? These players were ranked based off their fantasy production so far this season, along with their efficiency, preseason Average Draft Position (ADP), and positional value.
