As the most expensive defense on the Week 8 slate, the Philadelphia Eagles host the San Francisco 49ers and C.J. Beathard, who will be making his second career start on Sunday.

After the Niners lost Beathard's first start 40-10 against the Dallas Cowboys, it could be another rough week for the rookie quarterback as the Eagles defense ranks in the top 10 in a number of key statistical categories. The Eagles are tied for ninth in sacks (18), second in quarterback hits (50), and tied for eighth in interceptions (7) on the season.

Meanwhile, Beathard has had a tough start after replacing Brian Hoyer in the second quarter of the 49ers' Week 6 game against the Washington Redskins. Over the past two games, he's taken seven sacks and committed three turnovers.

Now the 49ers head into Philadelphia where they are a 13-point underdog, which is the largest spread in Week 8. The Niners have an implied team total of just 16.5, the third lowest on the slate. The Eagles defense not only has a nice floor against a rookie quarterback making his first road start, but they also carry a lot of potential for a multi-sack or multi-turnover game.
