Josh McCown's 17.2 Fantasy Points per Game Is Ninth-Best Among Quarterbacks

Throughout this offseason, it wasn't always clear whether Josh McCown would even be the New York Jets' starting quarterback this year. Barely anybody was considering him as a worthy fantasy option. And he didn't do much to change that narrative over the beginning of the season, as he was held under 250.0 passing yards and 16.0 fantasy points in each of his first five games, with a total of 5 passing touchdowns and 4 interceptions over that span.

But from Week 6 through 13, his 148.6 fantasy points are the fourth-most of any quarterback. In those seven games, he has averaged 265.7 passing yards and 21.2 fantasy points per game, with a total of 13 touchdowns and just 3 interceptions. McCown was a top-seven fantasy quarterback in five of those seven weeks, peaking at QB2 with his 31.1 fantasy points in Week 13.

That's quite an impressive run, and McCown is set up to continue his success in Week 14 against the Denver Broncos, who have allowed an average of 2.8 passing touchdowns per game to opposing quarterbacks over their past five games.
