A week after losing a critical division game to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Los Angeles Chargers are in position to bounce back in a road game against the New York Jets.

Bryce Petty was better than expected in his first start of the season last week, but he still threw two interceptions and the defense of the New Orleans Saints finished the week as a top-12 fantasy D. Now through five starts over two years, Petty has thrown at least one interception in every game, and he's thrown more interceptions than touchdowns in four of those five games. In his second start, Petty will be challenged by a Chargers defense that ranks 10th in the league, per our schedule-adjusted metrics.

If you've been following this column all season, you know we like to play the Chargers because they can pressure the quarterback, which leads to sacks and turnovers. On the season, the Chargers defense ranks eighth in turnovers forced (22) and seventh in sacks (38).

The second-most expensive defense on the main slate, the Chargers are a 6.5-point road favorite against the Jets. Even though a road defense isn't ideal, the Bolts have a pretty high floor and upside for more in Week 16 against Petty.
