2018 NFL Combine: 6 Players With the Most to Gain

Running back Kalen Ballage has a lot on the line at this week's NFL Combine. Who are some other running backs and receivers to watch?

This year the NFL Scouting Combine will run from Tuesday, February 27th through Monday, March 5th at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Those interested in the event from a fantasy football perspective -- particularly dynasty league enthusiasts -- should circle Friday, March 2nd for the running back workouts and Saturday, March 3rd for quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends.

While the merits of the various workout results are always subject to debate, NFL teams clearly place significant value on not only interviewing the prospects but getting measurements of their size, speed, and strength, which are not possible to obtain through watching tape.

For one reason or another, a prospect that puts up gaudy collegiate stats is not always capable for producing at the next level. By the same token, a prospect who excels at the combine is not automatically destined for a gold jacket and a bust in Canton. Ideally, teams want to invest their draft capital in players who were productive in college and are physically gifted.

With that in mind, here are six players -- all of whom are running backs or wideouts -- who need to have a good showing at this year's NFL Combine.
