Isaiah Crowell, Running Back

2017 ADP: 25th Overall
2018 ADP: 89th Overall
Difference: -64

The New York Jets had a big hole to fill at running back this offseason, with veteran Matt Forte retiring, and Bilal Powell and Elijah McGuire unproven as early-down backs. By numberFire’s Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per attempt, Powell ranked 35th among the 72 running backs with over 50 carries while McGuire came in 60th.

With a big need for a primary rusher, the Jets signed Isaiah Crowell -- formerly of the Cleveland Browns -- in free agency. In a timeshare role with the Browns, Crowell posted 0.69 fantasy points per opportunity, on average, over the last three years. With about 200 touches open for a lead back in this offense (204.5 average over the last two years), it’s easy to expect Crowell to provide solid production. In fact, if you do the math, Crowell's 138 points would have been enough for the 35th-best PPR running back in the league last year.

An RB3 or RB4 with upside is fine value in the eighth or ninth round of your drafts.
