Adam Thielen, WR, Minnesota Vikings

DraftKings Price: $7,700
Projected Points: 19.0

The Minnesota Vikings are on the road and 3.0 point underdogs against the host, Philadelphia Eagles. The Vikings also only have a 21.0 point implied team total, which is the 6th lowest out of all 24 teams on the main slate. Why in the world would I want to target Adam Thielen over the likes of Antonio Brown and Julio Jones?

Despite being the 5th highest-priced wide receiver on DraftKings, Thielen averages more fantasy points per game (27.8) than any other wideout on the main slate. Due to his volume and role in the offense, he's seemingly matchup-proof. He's had double digit targets in all 4 games this season (12, 13, 19, 12) and has finished with over 100 yards receiving in each game.

When we dive into the trend report for Adam Thielen, we find that he's actually done quite better on the road as the primary read for Kirk Cousins. Thielen has averaged 32.30 DraftKings points per game on the road compared to 23.35 at home.

The Cousins, Thielen, and Stefon Diggs show tore up the Los Angeles Rams defense in Week 4 and I don't see the Eagles holding them down in Week 5. They'll all be under-owned due to their team total and plethora of other very desirable choices at the position, which puts Thielen squarely on the map as an elite pivot and low-owned option in tournaments.
