2018 NFL Power Rankings: Week 6

After a 1-2 start, the Patriots have blasted the Dolphins and Colts. Per our models, where does New England rank among the NFL's best teams?

The media landscape in 2018 sure does like rehashing old ideas.

Go to the movies and most, if not all, coming attractions will be for a sequel, the next installment in a franchise, or some kind of remake. You are probably at the theater to watch one of these things in the first place.

The lineup of TV shows is starting to be filled with reboots of old shows that follow the same formula. Even the most popular show on TV, NFL football, is getting in on this action.

New England started the season 1-2, prompting speculation that maybe this would be the year the dynasty falls apart. The Patriots responded to all this by stringing together a pair of blowout wins and looking a lot like, you know, the Patriots.

Talk about rehashing an old plotline.

Our nERD ratings never fully bought in to the talk of New England’s demise, but the Patriots did fall as low as 11th in our rankings after their loss to Detroit in Week 3.

They are now up to third, their highest mark of the season, after beating down the Colts, 38-24, in a game that was not as close as the scoreboard indicated.

Here is how the rest of the league breaks down.
