5 Reasons Why the New England Patriots Will Win Super Bowl LIII

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, 17 years after defeating the then-St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI, are likely to take home their sixth championship trophy on Sunday.

For the third straight season -- and ninth out of the past 18 years -- America will be watching Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, and the New England Patriots playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday.

In each of the past two seasons, fans have been treated to a high-scoring matchup. The Philadelphia Eagles topped the Patriots 41-33 last season, and in the year prior, New England rallied back from a 28-3 second half deficit to beat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28.

Oddsmakers are giving Super Bowl LIII a good chance to be the third consecutive shootout with the over/under opening at 57.5, one of the highest opening lines ever for a Super Bowl.

But while the prospects for a barnburner are tantalizing, this game could very easily fall under that total, and it's the Patriots who are the team best suited to emerge victorious, regardless of how the game plays out.

The projections here at numberFire have given the Patriots a slight edge, assigning them a 56.2% win probability with a projected score of 28.92 to 27.05. With that in mind, let's break down five reasons why the Patriots will win their sixth Super Bowl on Sunday.
