FanDuel Daily Fantasy Football Helper: Week 15

With Lamar Jackson getting the green light to start in Week 15, will he finally reach his ceiling in a favorable spot against the Buccaneers?

Week 15 could prove to be a tricky week in DFS, as only 1 of the 11 games on the main slate has an over/under exceeding 50 points, which is contrary to what we've come to expect this year. While there are still situations and values we can look to exploit, at least on paper this doesn't look to be a slate brimming with high-scoring shootouts.

We'll dig into that and more in our weekly FanDuel primer, where we give you an overview of the Sunday main slate to help you get started on your research. As always, we recommend checking out all of numberFire's premium tools at your disposal. In particular, the heat map is a great way to get a general overview of the slate's implied totals, and every team's strengths and weaknesses. You also have access to numberFire's weekly projections, which can assist you in nailing down who might be the slate's top scorers and best values.

Be sure to also pay attention to inactives prior to Sunday's games, which can often completely change the makeup of a given slate. After all, injuries can have a huge impact on playing time, where an otherwise low-priced backup can suddenly find his way into a feature role and become an excellent play.

Now, let's run through some of this week's top plays on the FanDuel main slate.

Quarterbacks

Ben Roethlisberger ($8,600 on FanDuel) and Tom Brady ($7,900): The one game with a total surpassing the 50-point threshold is this week's pivotal AFC showdown between the Patriots and Steelers, with the over/under coming in at 52.0 points. As the most expensive quarterback on the board, Ben Roethlisberger is far from the best value, but there's no denying his ceiling at home on a team averaging the league's most pass attempts per game (43.1). Big Ben was dinged up last week but is expected to play, and the matchup is favorable against a New England defense that has failed to put pressure on the quarterback (ranking 29th in sacks) and sits at a modest 18th in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play. On the other side, Tom Brady has mostly been a disappointment this season, but with all his offensive weapons at his disposal, he diced up the Dolphins for 26.62 FanDuel points in Week 14, earning him a spot on last week's perfect FanDuel lineup. With this game looking like our best chance at a shootout, Brady should be able to put up another strong performance and is numberFire's top projected value at quarterback.
