C.J. Beathard confirmed to be Niners' starting QB in Week 4
San Francisco 49ers quarterback C.J. Beathard was confirmed by head coach Kyle Shanahan to be the team's starting quarterback for Week 4.
No surprises here as Beathard was serving as the backup to Jimmy Garaopplo since last season. The team will activate Nick Mullens from the practice squad to serve as his backup for Week 4 but are expected to sign veteran Tom Savage following the showdown with the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Beathard completed 54.9% of his passes while throwing 4 touchdowns and 6 interceptions in 7 games (5 starts) last season.
Our models project Beathard for 209.7 passing yards, 1.3 touchdowns, 0.9 interceptions, and 18.0 rushing yards for 15.0 FanDuel points in Week 4.
