49ers' Dante Pettis suffers MCL injury, out for finale
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Dante Pettis injured his MCL in Week 16 against the Chicago Bears.
Further testing on Monday should reveal whether Pettis is also dealing with an ACL injury, which would be a bit more severe of an issue. Either way, the rookie will not play versus the Los Angeles Rams in Week 17. Pettis caught 3 passes (5 targets) for 21 yards on Sunday before leaving.
The second-round pick finishes his first NFL season with 27 receptions on 45 targets for 467 yards and 5 touchdowns.
