Cardinals hire Kliff Kingsbury as new head coach
The Arizona Cardinals hired Kliff Kingsbury, formerly of Texas Tech, as head coach.
Kingsbury will take over for Steve Wilks, who was relieved after one season in Arizona. The 39-year-old coach went 35-40 over six seasons at Texas Tech and never finished in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll, but he ran offenses that were consistently among the most productive in the nation. The Cardinals are hoping that Kingsbury will help get the most out of Josh Rosen after a miserable rookie season.
Rosen averaged 162.7 passing yards on a 55.2 completion percentage over 14 games (13 starts) with 11 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
