Rams' Todd Gurley maintains health is fine
Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley once again insisted he was healthy following Sunday's Super Bowl LIII loss to the New England Patriots.
"I know there’s been a lot of concern about my knee, but I really am fine," Gurley maintained, adding that he underwent an MRI after the team’s Week 15 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and doesn't expect to need surgery this offseason. The 24-year-old back didn't play much in the first half against New England and finished with just 10 carries for 35 yards and 1 reception for a 1-yard loss. Gurley totaled only 16 touches between the Conference Championship and Super Bowl, compared to 22.5 touches per game during the regular season.
Gurley rushed for 160 yards and 2 touchdowns on 30 carries and caught 4 passes (7 targets) for 5 yards over three postseason games, with the bulk of that production coming against the Dallas Cowboys in the Divisional Round.
