Michael Bennett reportedly shipped to New England
Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman Michael Bennett has reportedly been agreed to be traded to the New England Patriots, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Bennett is reportedly being shipped with a 2020 seventh-round pick in exchange for New England's 2020 fifth-round selection. The Eagles seemed intent on cutting the former Pro-Bowler, so this gets them some compensation instead of nothing.
In 16 games last season, Bennett tallied 22 tackles, nine sacks, two forced fumbles and a pass deflection.
