Raiders reportedly agree to trade Kelechi Osemele to Jets
The Oakland Raiders have agreed to send left guard Kelechi Osemele and a 2019 sixth-round pick to the New York Jets in exchange for a 2019 fifth-round pick, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The trade will become official on Wednesday, per Schefter. Oakland owed Osemele $21.9 million over the next two seasons, but that will now be on the Jets' books. Turning 30 in June, Osemele should provide a significant upgrade up front for Sam Darnold and the offense. He is expected to replace James Carpenter, who is set to become a free agent.
The fifth-round pick being sent to the Jets is reportedly the one the Raiders acquired from the Chicago Bears in last year's Khalil Mack trade.
