Panthers' Cam Newton (shoulder) has resumed throwing a regulation-sized football
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton (shoulder) has resumed throwing a "regulation-sized football."
Newton underwent his second shoulder surgery this offseason and has progressed far enough in his rehab to resume throwing a regular sized football. After his first surgery in 2017, Newton waited until training camp before returning to throwing an NFL football. The Panthers are cautiously optimistic Newton will be good to go for the 2019 regular season, and his progress so far has been encouraging.
Our models project Newton for 3,857.8 passing yards, 555.0 rushing yards and 32.5 total touchdowns in 2019.
