Patriots acquire Michael Roberts from lions
The New England Patriots acquired tight end Michael Roberts from the Detroit Lions in exchange for a future, late-round pick.
Roberts was a fourth-round pick in 2017 but failed to make much of an impact in Detroit. He played only eight games last season before landing on injured reserve with a shoulder injury. The 25-year-old could compete with Matt LaCosse for snaps while Benjamin Watson serves his four-game suspension for PEDs.
Roberts has 13 career receptions (27 targets) for 146 yards and 3 touchdowns.
