Colts expected to start Josh Freeman against Titans

Quarterback Josh Freeman is expected to be the Indianapolis Colts' starting quarterback on Sunday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

What It Means:

Ryan Lindley will presumably serve as Indy's backup, with Stephen Morris on the third string. Expect the Colts' offense to be centered on the run against a Tennesse Titans defense hemorrhaging rushing yards. The Colts will get running back Frank Gore to 1,000 rushing yards on the year if he can muster up 109 this week.

Freeman hasn't played in NFL action since 2013, where he lost the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' starting gig to the underwhelming Mike Glennon. In that year, he posted a laughably-bad -41.20 Passing Net Expected Points on just 155 drop backs. Our algorithms project Freeman to complete 18-of-29 for 209.15 passing yards, 1.19 passing touchdowns, and 0.85 interceptions in Week 17.
